Body Shop Parts Counter Person

Position title: Body Shop Parts Counterperson

Department: Body Shop

Reports to: Body Shop Manager

The Bert Ogden Auto Group is in search of energetic, motivated, and responsible individuals to join
our team in the Body Shop Parts Department. To be a successful, you must be detail oriented,
committed, courteous, and provide excellent results for our organization.

Parts Counterperson Essential Duties:

The Body Shop Counterperson provides parts sales, pricing, and customer service to
Insurance adjusters, technicians, estimators, phone sales, and external customers. To accomplish
this the use of energetic merchandising, effective purchasing, and accurate inventory control,
while ensuring that everyone is treated with care and respect. Utilizing OEM electronic
parts catalog systems, estimating systems, and any other sources necessary for research to ensure
the correct pricing and parts or accessories are obtained with all orders.

Parts Counterperson Daily Operations:

• Attend daily release meetings familiarize with body shop production

• Constantly monitor Email in order to place all orders in timely manor

• Thoroughly document in management systems, and email updates to file handlers on all orders

• Monitor backorders daily ensuring deliveries are shipped and received accordingly

• Inspect parts for damage and accuracy

• Input and direct all invoices to accounting daily

• Attain copies of all invoices with signature from delivery drivers, technicians,
or receiving employees and scan into management system

Parts Counterperson Responsibilities and Requirements:(included but are not limited to)

• Body and Mechanical knowledge to understand customer needs

• Positively work in a process driven environment and adapt to daily changing circumstances

• Remain compliant to all company standards and requests with safety always in mind

• Continuously strive to improve efficiency in the facility and the overall operation and be
willing to grow

• Meet the physical demands, including walking, crouching, bending, and standing for extended
periods of time

• Ability to Lift vehicle components / parts weighing up to 150 pounds, with assistance from
co-workers

• Keep company equipment properly serviced, clean, and in good working order and condition

• Perform other duties as assigned which may be outside this job description

• Be outgoing, friendly, and helpful and have strong “sales” skills

• Maintain a good work attitude and cooperate with fellow employees

• Availability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays if required

• Participate in all training programs available and assigned

• Assist dealership parts department personnel with inventory counts

• Maintain the body shop parts department organized and clean condition

• Be familiar with body repair procedures to identify additional parts

• Maintain a Valid state driver’s license with a good driving record

• Operate forklift, after required training and certification
